CAT Cymru (also trading under the name South Wales CAT Training Ltd) has been training healthcare professionals in Cognitive Analytic Therapy since 2016. The course has been based in Newport since 2019. We aim to provide high quality training, enabling trainees to become competent in the use of Cognitive Analytic Therapy with both individual clients and also using relational ideas to support teams, understand team dynamics and work indirectly with clients. Following completion of all elements of the course, trainees will be able to apply for accreditation by ACAT (Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy).
